Referat für Internationales

Hey everyone – my name is Lu (they/them), and I am responsible for the General Student Committee (AStA) International Affairs department at Osnabrück University.

This department aims at making studying and living in Osnabrück easier for international students.

You'll receive information, support, advice, and translations, especially on the following topics:

  • Orientation at the university, student ID, public transport, university organizations
  • Everyday study life (courses, exams, term papers, applications)
  • Official matters (administsration and (local) authorities)
  • Apartment search, rental contracts, moving
  • Internships and job searches, financing options, etc.

There are also events that are organized regularly and that you're welcome to participate in. I am doing my best to make them public and accessible through the AStA website, the AStA Instagram account and flyers in the Mensa. Please feel free to approach me with feedback, critique or your own ideas for possible events.

More generally: If you have any problems, doubts, wishes or needs, please get in contact with me! In case I am not the right person for whatever it is you contacted me about, I can still let you know and forward you to someone who is.

As mentioned above, I am here to make things easier for you.

You can also approach me if you want to connect yourself and/or if you are looking to get politically active, I can give you an overview of the local structures.

Also note that I am not an expert on all of the matters above, however I will do what I can to support you.

Hey – ich bin Lu (keine Pronomen), und bin Referent*in für Internationales am AStA (Allgemeiner Studierenden-Ausschuss) der Universität Osnabrück.

Das Referat ist dafür da, das Studieren und Leben in Osnabrück für internationale Studierende leichter zu machen.

Ihr könnt Informationen, Unterstützung, Beratung und Übersetzung erhalten, insbesondere zu folgenden Themen:

  • Orientierung an der Uni, Studi-Ausweis, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel (Bus, Bahn), Uni-Organe
  • Studien-Alltag (Kurse, Klausuren, Hausarbeiten, Anträge)
  • Offizielle/Rechtliche Probleme (Verwaltung und (lokale) Authoritäten (z.B. Ausländerbehörde))
  • Wohnungssuche, (Miet-)Verträge, Umzüge
  • Praktika und Jobsuche, Finanzierungs-Optinen, etc.

Außerdem gibt es viele Veranstaltungen an denen ihr gerne teilnehmen könnt. Ich gebe mein Bestes, Angebote über die AStA-Website, den AStA Instagram-Account und Mensa-Flyer offen und zugänglich zu machen. Mit Rückmeldungen, Kritik oder euren eigenen Ideen für Veranstaltungen könnt ihr immer auf mich zukommen.

Grundsätzlich gilt: Wenn ihr Probleme, Fragen, Wünsche oder Bedürfnisse habt, kontaktiert mich bitte! Falls ich nicht die richtige Ansprechperson für euer Anliegen bin, kann ich es euch dann mitteilen und euch an eine andere Stelle weiterleiten.

Wie oben erwähnt, dieses Referat existiert, um Dinge für euch leichter zu machen.

Ihr könnt mich auch kontaktieren wenn ihr euch (sozial) vernetzen und/oder politisch aktiv werden wollt, ich gebe euch gerne einen Überblick über die lokalen Strukturen.

Außerdem bin ich nicht Expert*in in allen oben genannten Feldern, ich tue aber was ich kann um euch zu unterstützen.
